Dolls vs. Action Figures

Anyway, childish as though it may seem, there IS a distinction truly transcending the two toy types.

Action Figures are disproportionately-sized sexist role models with set facial expressions, a limited number of poses, a lack of genitalia, and a set of accessories and companions that complement the original toy.

On the other hand, Dolls are disproportionately-sized sexist role models with set facial expressions, a limited number of poses, a lack of genitalia, and a set of accessories and companions that complement the original toy with changeable clothes!

Of course, I’m heavily generalizing. Still, there’s some truth to those descriptions.

But is it really important what we call the toys? No! It’s important that they’re fun.

Step aside, Ken: G.I. Joe just moved in.
