Whether you’ve just been puddle-stomping and have introduced your shoes to a tile floor or have shoes specially designed to emit a noise, the uniqueness of these audio-producing garments wears off quickly. That wet squeaking may remind you of a large mouse for the first few steps, but will soon become annoying to everyone around you. Maybe your flip-flops emit sounds reminiscent of traversing through sand no matter what terrain you’re actually walking on, but, like those wall-mounted singing bass fish, the novelty is soon abolished.
If you plan on sneaking around, or simply wish to keep the nerves of everyone around you intact, then squeaking sneakers or squelching sandals are not the way to go.
